Hi, I’m so glad you’re here with me.
I’m a published author, librarian, mama, and wellness-minded foodie living in Australia. But more than titles, I am someone who finds meaning in everyday routines — in cooking, caring, working, and simply showing up each day.
Food has always been at the heart of my life. From rolling rotis after a long day to preparing simple, nourishing meals for my family, my kitchen is where I slow down, reconnect, and create comfort. Through this space, I share everyday Indian recipes, healthy balanced meals, and food that fits real, busy lives.
Like many women, my journey is not just about food. It is also about motherhood, migration and identity, balancing work and home, and quiet struggles no one always sees. This blog is my space to share those silent stories too.
Roti represents home. Roots represent where we come from — and where we grow. Roti Roots is a reflection of my journey of holding both tradition and change, strength and softness, routine and resilience.
Thank you for being here. I hope you find comfort, inspiration, and connection in these pages — just like I find in my everyday life.
With warmth,
Sukhpreet
